Strange Field works with Further Education colleges to provide students with hands-on experience of working in the arts and the potential of collaborative working across formal and informal education across the city. We work in partnership with FE in the following ways;
2026-2027
Teaching Resources. We provide example teaching packs of how our sites, organisation and/or historic buildings can be used to deliver SCQF Level 7-10 art and design units. We can advise and work with you on embedding a live project brief with Strange Field for your student group.
Visits. We can visit your college or host student trips to learn about a range of forms of cultural work including our exhibition, education and event programme.
Work & Exhibition Experience. We can ring fence calendar time for FE students and graduates to programme exhibitions and events and support students to gain experience delivering community workshops on site with us.
Pre and Post FE. We signpost and support participants on our programme to apply for further education courses and offer advice sessions to FE graduates on future pathways.
